2022 Year in Review

Dear Supporter,

This time of year lends itself to self-reflection, so we wanted to share the progress we’ve made together. In 2022, Humanim continued to safely transition human services – the core of our business – to take place in person. We helped over 3,000 individuals make significant strides along their personal pathways to independence and employment. Here are some highlights of our impact:

Trained 319 individuals through our career development programs and on-the-job training

Provided housing support services for 553 individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders

Delivered wraparound services for 364 youth making the transition from high school to employment in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and County, Harford County, and Howard County

Provided autism services, programming and ABA therapy, 5-days a week to 71 children between the ages of 1-8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder at our new Infinity Center for Behavior Services

Through community integration and a person-centered approach, our behavioral health and developmental disabilities departments assisted program participants on their journeys to autonomy. Our therapeutic behavior services provided another avenue to lift up families and improve outcomes.

We truly thank you for your partnership in 2022 and we look forward to working together in the year ahead. Without you, we could not do the work that we do.

In 2023, we will celebrate a special milestone for Humanim. We’ll finally gather to commemorate 50 years of providing services to our communities! As we reflect on the past, we’re filled with gratitude for people who support our mission and efforts to achieve it. Through 35 diverse but interconnected programs, we empower individuals facing social or economic challenges by building pathways to economic equity, opportunity, and independence.

Our progress is made possible because of passionate employees, a strong board, and supporters, like you. What started as less than five employees in the early 1970s has grown into nearly 400 employees serving over 3,000 individuals per year. We’re thrilled to invite you to our 50th anniversary event to catch up with old friends while investing in impact initiatives that help our communities thrive.
