As we gather with our family, friends, and community members this holiday season, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for your unwavering support. Your generosity and belief in the transformative power of our work have supported and empowered over 3,000 individuals who face social or economic challenges.
This year, we celebrated a special milestone, 50 years of providing services to our communities! The anniversary event was a huge success thanks to inspiring, impactful stories from the people we serve and the overwhelming support of sponsors, guests, and partners.
Along with our 50th anniversary, we celebrated our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), who play a crucial role in the lives of individuals with disabilities. One of our DSPs, Shannon Saunders, was selected as a winner of the DSP Recognition Award by the Maryland Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and the Maryland Department of Disabilities (MDOD).
We were honored with the “Non-profit of the Year” award by the Harford Chamber of Commerce for exemplifying a strong commitment to making a difference in Harford County. Along with the award we received a citation from the office of Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, the Maryland Department of Commerce, and the Harford County Council.
These accomplishments would not be possible without you! We are humbled by your dedication and commitment to our mission.
As this year comes to an end, we eagerly anticipate a new year filled with impact. With your continued support, we look forward to expanding our programs and services to build even more pathways to economic equity, opportunity, and independence.

Youth Transition Services
|
|
Our Youth Transitions Services (YTS) program is passionate about helping young people with disabilities reach their full potential. An integral part of our program is preparing them for the workforce through comprehensive skills training, mentoring, and real-world work experience through internships and other career opportunities.
The YTS program serves Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford, and Howard Counties, as well as Baltimore City. We have recently expanded to Cecil, Prince George's, and Montgomery Counties. We are currently seeking employer partners within the areas of information technology, pet services, and administration to work with us in helping the youth forge career paths, despite any barriers they may face. Employer partners host student interns, serve as industry advisers, and provide mentors.

Administrative Assistant Career Training Fall Class of 2023

Congratulations to our Administrative Assistant Career Training Fall Class of 2023! The graduates completed nine weeks of rigorous job skills training and earned nationally-recognized certifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist and the Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence (PACE). We are so proud of our recent graduates and look forward to their continued success!
