abilIT is a free, 14-week training program offered in partnership with our parent organization, Melwood. The program serves people with disabilities and disabled veterans, preparing participants to sit for industry-recognized certifications, and supporting the job search in IT, cybersecurity, or tech-adjacent fields.
Launching Careers in Tech
By pairing innovative, highly technical training with personalized soft skills instruction, abilIT equips participants with the skills they need to build lifelong careers as competitive technology professionals through job search assistance, and placement, including in the Defense and Intelligence Community.
Eligibility
This program is best suited for tech-savvy learners already comfortable with computers. We welcome candidates ready to prosper in their careers. To join the abilIT program, the following requirements should be met:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Some experience in IT or proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Residency: U.S. citizenship and/or U.S. residency required
- Funding: Training is fully covered at no cost to accepted candidates
- Candidates: Must apply online
