For over 50 years, Humanim has been bolstering the local community’s workforce and advocating for vulnerable individuals by guiding them in their employment journey. Our Supported Employment program for adults with Developmental Disabilities is one such service connecting participants to opportunities that advance their goals and refine their skills.
Meet one of the superheroes serving individuals in our Supported Employment program, Allegra! Allegra was promoted from a Direct Support Professional in our Meaningful Day program and has become an outstanding addition to the Supported Employment team.
She shows great concern for the welfare of the individuals on her caseload and is actively involved in finding solutions to difficult challenges by providing the individuals with support and knowledge of a variety of job types. Allegra continues to learn how to assist the individuals she serves and is always open to suggestions from her teammates, as well as contributing her thoughts and ideas to them.
She never hesitates to take on any challenge or difficult tasks including providing rigorous programming to learn about an individual’s strengths, challenges, and prepares them for job development activities. Allegra does a great job aiding individuals with the responsibilities that come with having a job.
Maureen, the manager of our Supported Employment program confirms, “Allegra demonstrates company pride, loyalty, commitment and strong work ethics in everything she does.”
