This beautiful turreted 1899 Hampstead house needed to find a new location. The current owner and DETAILS had hoped a new owner would be able to move her to another lot. When that effort failed, the best alternative was to deconstruct. DETAILS crews meticulously removed the components while working next to a busy intersection. Our work caught the eye of many passers-by who stopped to talk including a reporter from the Carroll County Times, who featured us on the front page.
A DETAILS crew spent 15 days removing floors, doors, mantels, staircase, roof and structural lumber, carefully packing every item for transport. At 30 continuous feet, the floor joists in this home were the longest we have ever seen! This was another excellent opportunity for DETAILS deconstruction to create jobs, train our team, and save valuable building materials from landfill waste.
