Humanim recently hosted the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Cohort Session on workforce development at the American Brewery Building. The Goldman Sachs “10,000 Small Businesses” program promotes economic opportunity and job promotion by providing small business entrepreneurs access to education, capital and business support services.
This year’s cohort heard from our VP of Construction Social Enterprise, Jeff Carroll, and our VP of Workforce Development, Kanika Feaster-Gordon, on an overview of workforce development and social enterprise in its mission to create new economic opportunities for members of our community who have challenges finding employment. Additional highlights included addressing the impact made by employers when in partnership with workforce development and social enterprise, as a mechanism for job creation to strengthen communities and solve social and environmental problems through sustainable market-based solutions.
