DSP Recognition Week 2021 Recap

Last week, Humanim celebrated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Recognition Week! DSPs are our front-line staff working directly with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities or mental illness. One of the most important positions in Human Services, a DSP supports individuals with increasing the quality of life and ensuring growth and independence. Their commitment makes Humanim’s vital programs and services possible.

To honor their hard work, Direct Support Professionals received Humanim jackets and enjoyed celebratory activities throughout the week. The Developmental Disability Services team raffled off seven “themed” gift baskets and shared heartfelt testimonials from individuals and family members. Additionally, the Team shared initiatives from CQL, The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) and National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals – NADSP that show advancements in making sure DSPs feel valued, empowered, respected, and supported as they support individuals in their communities.

Join us as we say “Thank you” to all of our incredible DSPs for their commitment to making an impact and contributions to the community.
