Over the past few weeks, we have shared a number of stories from neighbors who have found employment and began careers through EBDI’s workforce training partners. Many of these opportunities have come through work created by the more than $300 million of construction underway in our neighborhood.
This week’s video focuses on training for jobs that are coming online as some construction projects are completed, and businesses open in our neighborhood.
Our workforce partner Humanim is located in the old American brewery building, right up Gay Street from our office. We refer neighbors interested in pursuing a customer service or retail career to Humanim’s Baltimore Elite Service Training (BEST) program. The BEST program offers job readiness and customer service training and assists graduates with job placement. And upon completion, graduates receive a certificate from the National Retail Federation Foundation.
