Humanim’s Administrative Assistant Career Training Program celebrated the graduation of their first cohort held in Harford County last month! While the program pivoted from in-person to a virtual format, the training still offered a robust curriculum. Graduates of the 9-week program gained interview and office skills and received nationally recognized certifications including, Microsoft Office Specialist and the Professional Administrative Certification of Excellence.
To commemorate their hard work and achievements, the graduates celebrated via a Zoom ceremony with friends, family, and community partners. Participants heard words of encouragement and reflection from Humanim’s Workforce Development team along with their class speaker, Monserrate Franco-Gonzalez.
A big thank you to our partnering anchor institutions: University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, Express Employment Professionals, Freedom Federal Credit Union, Harford Community College, Susquehanna Workforce Network, Epicenter at Aberdeen, BriteStar Business for their continued commitment to community hiring & helping our trainees prepare for new careers through their mentoring and support. We also extend our thanks to program funders and partners who made this training possible: The Dresher Foundation, Department of Labor, Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN), Harford County Women’s Giving Circle, and APGFCU Foundation.
As the graduates make their way into their new career paths, we wish them the best and look forward to seeing all they accomplish!
