As a Behavior Consultant in Humanim’s Behavior Support Services department, William is committed to helping individuals with behavioral health needs thrive. With a compassionate and person-centered approach, he provides tailored support that promotes personal growth, independence, and an improved quality of life.
William collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to conduct in-depth behavior assessments, ensuring that each person’s unique strengths and challenges are understood. From these insights, he develops thoughtful, person-centered behavior plans that foster growth, independence, and an improved quality of life.
Beyond direct support, William partners with provider agencies to implement effective behavior-change strategies that lead to meaningful, lasting progress. Nearly six years into his journey at Humanim, his passion for making a difference remains strong—whether through developing innovative behavioral strategies, working alongside dedicated colleagues, or seeing the individuals he serves thrive.
“I enjoy meeting the individuals I help support and the provider agency staff. They help me develop creative strategies, and I value their professionalism.”
Originally from Philadelphia, William has a wide range of interests outside of work. “In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking, cycling, photography, attending concerts, watching movies, gardening, vacationing, and playing video games. I also love visiting downtown Philadelphia whenever I get the chance.”
A devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, William never misses a chance to cheer on his team. “As a true Philadelphian, the Eagles hold a special place in my heart. ‘Fly, Eagles, Fly!’ is my all-time favorite chant!”
One unique aspect of William’s background is his experience as a trainer. “I used to be a Behavioral Principles and Strategies trainer and later a Mandt System trainer. Over the years, I’ve conducted countless training sessions, equipping individuals with essential skills to manage challenging behaviors and foster positive interactions.”
This experience has strengthened his role as a behavior consultant. “Learning how to engage people as a trainer has made me more effective in my work. It empowered me to help individuals from diverse backgrounds in a meaningful way.”
Above all, William finds fulfillment in the impact he makes. “I take pride in being part of a process that enhances the well-being of the individuals we serve—whether by teaching new skills or providing additional support.”
An advocate for disability rights and social justice, William has even considered law school to deepen his understanding and create broader change.
At Humanim, he continues to make an invaluable impact, with an optimistic outlook for the future.
“I hope to continue seizing opportunities to expand my role and take on new responsibilities as the field evolves.”
