A big thank you to ClearMask – who recently donated over 4,000 face masks to Humanim! Their bulk donation is supporting all of our programs, including our Deaf Services, Human Services, Workforce Development Programs, and Social Enterprises. Clear masks are essential to communicating with our staff and consumers who are deaf or hard of hearing during this pandemic. Many of our Developmental Disability and Behavioral Health services clients also have difficulty expressing their emotions. ClearMasks support lip reading and help our program participants and staff show their facial expressions so they are able to build rapport. Lastly, Humanim’s culinary social enterprise, City Seeds , utilizes ClearMasks when they are making food/catering deliveries in the community – it helps them better communicate with the public. We are so grateful to be selected by ClearMask for this generous donation!
