Humanim’s Deaf Services Day Program Celebrates 100 Days of Virtual Learning

Humanim’s Deaf Services Day Program began a virtual learning class in mid-May as a way of engaging individuals in daily structured activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Right away, individuals were excited to have a platform to see and socialize with their peers. They quickly became involved in planning their activities each week, including topics such as; Physical and Emotional Wellbeing, Nutrition, Personal Care and Hygiene, and Independent Living Skills. Embedded in these topics are fun games and videos related to that weekly theme. Since May, more individuals have begun to join the classes each month, and to date, the day program has a 75% participation rate.
The day program recently hit their 100th day of Virtual Learning!
