Humanim’s Healthy Transitions Program Receives the Casey and Pebble Willis Award

Congratulations to our Healthy Transitions team, who were honored by the Community Foundation of Howard County with the Casey and Pebble Willis Making a Difference award last week – for its positive impact and crucial work in addressing mental health issues in Howard County. The prestigious award recognizes programs that have directly impacted and made quantifiable differences in the lives of Howard County residents. Started in 2015 in partnership with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the University of Maryland’s evidence based practice center, Humanim’s Healthy Transitions program serves youth ages 15-25 struggling with serious mental health challenges. To date, we have helped 82 youth in Howard County successfully transition into adulthood through this program.
