Look out, world, Start on Success (SOS) students are prepped and ready for their post-graduation job searches! Students honed their job interview and public speaking skills through virtual mock interviews with Impact Leaders Network volunteers. Volunteers provided professional feedback and coaching along the way, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable for all.
Antonae Jones learned of this volunteer opportunity through her employer, Fulton Bank. As a new hire there, she felt confident sharing her tried and true advice on landing a job.
“Just be yourself. Then, educate yourself.” Antonae encouraged her small group of students to dive into organizations’ websites and learn more about their core values beforehand. She challenged them to consider how their talents and strengths apply to the vision statement.
After the mock interviews, the whole group reconvened to share their experiences. Positive energy radiated from every Zoom square. The future is bright for these students who will surely impress many employers.
