Personal Supports Services Trip to Washington DC

Scenes from a recent one-on-one field trip to Washington DC! Tessa, our Deaf Services manager and an individual in Humanim’s Personal Support Services had an exciting day touring the National Mall, Memorial Parks, and enjoying the Cherry Blossom Festival. They also took time to stop by Gallaudet University, as well as Mozzeria, a Deaf-owned and Deaf-led pizzeria. It was the perfect day to get some much needed sunshine and outdoor activity. A big thank you to Tessa, for planning an amazing outing for the individual she supports.
Humanim’s person-centered approach to services facilitates self-advocacy by developing an individual’s unique interests and goals so that they can exercise greater independence, and be successful in the community. Like all of Humanim’s human services, our Deaf Services and Personal Supports focus on individualized care and self-empowerment.
