Empowering Families: Had’s Journey With The Infinity Center

Our Infinity Center is an early intervention center that provides therapy based in Applied Behavior Analysis for children ages 1-8 with a diagnosis of autism who live in or around Carroll and Harford Counties. They work with parents and caregivers to develop a treatment plan to meet every child’s and family’s specific needs.

Meet Mollie, a parent from our center, and dedicated licensed clinical professional counselor specializing in adult care. Mollie found herself navigating the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when her son, Had, was diagnosed in April 2021. As a mother of two, Mollie was determined to provide Had with the best possible support to help him thrive.

Had has been with the Infinity Center for nearly two years. He’s a vibrant and curious child who brings joy to those around him. Despite the obstacles he faces, he embraces life with enthusiasm.

Had’s Interests:

● Disney Movies: Had adores Disney movies, finding joy and wonder in their magical worlds and captivating characters.
● Music: He has a deep appreciation for music, often dancing and vocalizing to express his enjoyment
● Swimming: Had finds solace and enjoyment in the water, feeling free and confident as he swims.
● Family Time: Being with his family is one of Had’s greatest sources of happiness and comfort.

The ASD diagnosis led his family to explore various avenues of support, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Initially, their journey was challenging as their first ABA provider could not meet Had’s unique needs. However, a recommendation from other behavioral health professionals and positive online reviews guided them to the Infinity Center.

Had began his journey at the Infinity Center at age 3 and recently graduated from early learners, ready to start kindergarten in the fall at a special school.

“From the moment we reached out to the Infinity Center, we were met with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping our family,” Mollie says. “The clinical director, in particular, went above and beyond by taking the time to engage in a thorough discussion about Had’s diagnosis, our concerns, and the potential for support and growth at the center.

“Throughout our time at the Infinity Center, we have been impressed by the level of dedication and expertise exhibited by the entire team. The therapists and staff members have gone out of their way to create a nurturing and supportive environment for Had, providing him with the tools and resources needed to thrive. The impact of the Infinity Center extends beyond Had’s individual progress. As a family, we have felt supported and empowered every step of the way, thanks to the comprehensive approach to care that considers the needs of both the individual and the family unit.”

We’re so honored to have played a role in Had’s development and his family’s journey. If you are seeking support for your family, we are here to help.
