In recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, meet a few individuals empowered by Humanim’s programs.

In recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we spotlight our Developmental Disabilities Day Program. Humanim’s day programs emphasize community integration, and provide services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Poolesville High School student team from Montgomery County placed in the Top 15 of the national Source America design challenge – where high school students compete to design equipment that will assist individuals with disabilities at their place of work.

Humanim’s VP of Development, Diana Ellis & VP of Developmental Disabilities, Judi Olinger attended the Bond Initiative hearing for Humanim’s iHomes program in Annapolis in March. Humanim’s iHomes program is planning to construct and acquire 17 units of housing through Howard County over the next year and a half.

In recognition of Brain Injury Awareness Month, the #ChangeYourMind campaign provides a platform for educating the general public about the incidence of brain injury and the needs of people with brain injuries and their families.
