This month we spotlight our iHomes program, a private non-profit community housing development organization (CHDO) providing long term, affordable housing options to low-income individuals who have been diagnosed with a developmental and/or psychiatric disability.

Poolesville High School Places Top 15 in Source America National Design Challenge

The Poolesville High School student team from Montgomery County placed in the Top 15 of the national Source America design challenge – where high school students compete to design equipment that will assist individuals with disabilities at their place of work.

Bond Initiative Hearing for Humanim’s iHomes Program

Humanim’s VP of Development, Diana Ellis & VP of Developmental Disabilities, Judi Olinger attended the Bond Initiative hearing for Humanim’s iHomes program in Annapolis in March. Humanim’s iHomes program is planning to construct and acquire 17 units of housing through Howard County over the next year and a half.

Pre-Construction Career Training Program

Humanim is currently recruiting for our free Pre-Construction Career Training program in partnership with Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) – including job training, certification, and job placement assistance. Program starts March 18th!
